Samantha's Gallery
This is Samantha just a couple of hours old. Scary, huh? She was only 2 and a half pounds, at 11 weeks premature. Almost lost her a few times in the 8 weeks she spent in the hospital, but she has become amazingly resiliant, considering how fragile she looks here.
This is how she looked about 6 months later. Big difference, eh? I kinda miss this age. They can't get into any trouble, but they smile a lot and look cute. <g>
This was taken around the same time as the one above it. Groovy hairstyle she has here. She was born with a ton of hair, but after having surgery on her throat, was on steroids for awhile to take the swelling down, and they made her hair fall out. She was bald as a cueball for awhile, except for one little whisp on top of her head. She looked sorta like a kewpie doll for a couple of months.
This was taken at my Mom's this summer. She lives in a house on the lake, right next to the city park. The kids LOVE going to visit there. lol
This is my youngest sister with Sami, on the 4th of July 2000. I just noticed how much alike they look.
This was taken in the fall of 99, around Thanksgiving.
